SNF is the world’s largest producer of water-soluble polymers, used in water treatment, oil and gas applications including enhanced oil recovery, mineral extraction, pulp and paper manufacturing and other specialty applications.
With more than 3,300 employees throughout the world, 20 production sites, 50 subsidiaries and a network of more than 1,000 distributors and partners,
SNF had 2011 revenue of 1.6 billion euros (2.2 billion dollars).
SNF has more than 30,000 direct customers and its products are applied by more than 300,000 final users worldwide.
SNF has a wide product range of more than 1,000 references and introduces around 100 new products every year thanks to a continued investment in research and development.
SNF invests the vast majority of its financial resources in the expansion of its manufacturing assets throughout the world. Over the past three years, the overall capacity of
SNF has grown by more than 50%. At the end of 2011, the production capacity of
SNF in powder polymer has exceeded 400 kt and the capacity in emulsion and liquid has exceeded 200 kt (in active equivalent).
Management
SNF is a private company, founded in 1978 by René Pich and a partner. The three main senior managers of the
SNF group are:
